Agencies hire Eleven to help sharpen their positioning and create a strategic—rather than haphazard—approach to growth.  And then the relationships tend to morph into a number of other areas, which can include:

  • Working with the CEO and his or her management team on clarifying the positioning of the agency to make sure it's compelling and powerful and simple.
  • Supporting the CEO/CMO in helping them create a culture of winning inside the organization.
  • Crafting the credentials story and how to approach more compelling case histories
  • Driving the development of a Marketing plan that's focused and executable.
  • Training the staff in New Business. This typically takes the form of a 2 day workshop that can involve anywhere from 15-45 people.
  • Editing and rewriting RFPs
  • Serving as Pitch Doctor on major pitches--working with the team on crafting the argument, telling the story, and how to bring the content to life.
  • Serving as the counselor to the CEO. With two clients, I'm on phone calls with the CEO 2 and 3 times a week, debating decisions on people and clients and strategy. It gives them an objective, experienced voice who will never lie to them, or worse, tell them what they want to hear.
  • For two of my clients I sit on their Executive Committee; my name is next to deliverables and I'm accountable.
  • Executive Coaching. Some CEO's use me to coach senior executives or potential stars who’ve got great skills but a dysfunctional approach to the business. Also, I'm often asked to help moderate communications issues between department heads and get them working together better.
